Animal welfare is also human welfare

There is immense anthropocentric view on world - people care about animals as far as they satisfy their needs. 

However there are people  sensitive to animal welfare and their feelings and concerns are quite too often neglected. Not only in their contacts and cmmunication with others, but from politics, media, business. We argue that this is equivalent to discrimination on the basis of beliefs. 

Support locals to grow impact

We believe that animal protection can be stronger if there are many small units of active citizens. Lare organization are far from local and small initiavites, and have large proportion of administrative costs.

Local volunteering units are more familiar with the animal welfare problems of the region and can exercise meaningful pressure through protests and actions to local authorities.

Strong local awarenes may override the need of mobilization of large organizations.

🕊The pigeons in Belgium

There is pigeon crisis all over Western European countries and Belgium makes no exception. 

On the contrary, it is one of the countries where pigeon welfare is severely underrated. Feeding bans are omnipresent, there a very few associations dedicated to pigeon protection, volunteering is weak and the pigeon sport in flourishing. 

The activities we do for pigeons are:

• pigeon rescuing and first line help (urgent help, care, euthanasia, stringfoot, etc.)

• welfare awareness and education

• politics and advocacy with respect to stakeholders - municipalities, citizens, media.
